The Western Isles of Scotland are abound in beauty and variety, each island is a world to itself. These islands are, in a general sense, split into two groups the Inner and Outer Hebrides.
The Inner Hebrides lie south of the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland and to name but a few include the Small Isles, Slate Isles, Coll, Tiree, Mull and Skye.
To the north lies the Outer Hebrides which is a long island chain that runs from Barra in the south to Harris and Lewis in the north.
A journey through this chain of islands makes an exceptional road trip that include world class beaches, prehistoric monuments, an array of wildlife and flora that thrive amidst often stunning scenery.
